The Carbon Steel Pipe Bend Elbow Anti-Corrosion Coating Pipe Fitting is an integral element in a piping system, engineered to expertly alter the trajectory of fluid flow. Its primary function is to seamlessly connect two pipes, regardless of whether they share the same or varying nominal diameters, allowing for precision redirection in any desired orientation.
Based on the direction of fluid movement within pipelines, elbows are available in a variety of angular degrees. The most prevalent angles include 45, 90, and 180 degrees, which are widely adopted due to their versatility. For specialized pipeline needs, more unique angles such as 60 and 120 degrees are also offered.
Elbows are categorized into two distinct types based on their radius relative to the pipe diameter. When the radius equals the pipe diameter, resulting in a Center-to-Face dimension of 1.0 times the diameter, it is identified as a Short Radius Elbow (SR Elbow), commonly employed in applications with low pressure and slow-moving pipelines or in confined spaces where spatial clearance is a critical consideration. Conversely, when the radius exceeds the pipe diameter, featuring a Center-to-Face dimension of 1.5 times the diameter, it is classified as a Long Radius Elbow (LR Elbow), specifically designed to cater to systems with elevated pressure and higher velocity flow rates.
In terms of how they connect to pipes, elbows can be segmented into several categories including Butt Welded Elbows, Socket Welded Elbows, and Threaded Elbows.Reflecting the diversity in valve body materials, these elbows can be crafted from stainless steel, carbon steel, or alloy steel, each offering distinct benefits.
